Splendor is a gem-collecting and card-development game. Players take on the role of merchants during the Renaissance to acquire gem cards. With the gem cards providing permanent gem bonuses, players can use them to purchase higher-value cards. Purchasing certain cards grants prestige points. While playing, the first player to reach a specific number of points triggers the final round. Splendor combines engine-building mechanics with resource management and strategic decision-making as players strive to c accumulate the most prestige points.
